I love this story, but the only negative thing about it is that it has black and white pictures. Even so, my 2 1/2 year old loves it.

Memories and new adventures!

I remember this book from my childhood. My mom was a 1st grade teacher and this was a classic! Now, my son is 4 yrs old and a beginning reader. Sal and the bears are a great adventure for him and a walk down memory lane for me! I can't say how much I enjoy sharing this book with my son!

Being from Maine, we know Blueberries for Sal. I have two young granddaughters and buy many books. I love that this is a Maine story to share with them.

My daughter absolutely loves this book! It's the first one she picks out to read every night. The illustrations are timeless and the story is precious! I remember reading this as a child, and now I am thrilled to share it with my own!
